Summary
DeathTale is an Undertale AU that takes place before Frisk falls down into the Underground. In this AU, Gaster is still the Royal Scientist and has not been scattered around time and space. He begins an experiment to bring MONSTERs back to life with DETERMINATION extracted from the HUMAN SOULs, but instead of forming amalgamations, these revived MONSTERs take their forms before death. However, they have no original thoughts of their own, which means that whoever created them can essentially control them. But when Asgore shut down his project, he snapped and went on a massacre, killing the entire Underground (mainly the boss monsters).

Ok, we all agree that the Mario movie was waaaay too short, right? Right. So here's my take on it, expanding on scenes that had more potential, and altering it to fit my au for a bit of ✨ flavor ✨. I suppose you could consider my fic "Why?" to be a sequel to this one.
