Summary
Lucanis tried to recall how exactly he had ended up here.
*Here* being sandwiched between Rook and Emmrich, the two mages taking turns kissing the side of his neck and throat, the collar of his meticulously ironed shirt unbuttoned and now wrinkled. A whine lodged in his throat when Rook sucked a mark over his collarbone, his clever fingers quickly working over the rest of the buttons on Lucanis’ vest and shirt, while Emmrich ran a hand down his flank, his thumb rubbing soothing circles over his hipbone.

Summary
“Do I really have to spell it out?” Rook lifts a brow — and all of a sudden, it is not anger which animates his features, but slyness, like a stoat in pursuit of a hare. “The age gap, it’s a turn-on. And not only for me, I think. You get off on it too.”
At that, all of Emmrich’s internal organs seem to squirm. Quite a curious sensation, really.
“I beg your pardon?”
In which that Act Three argument goes a touch different.

The bottom line was: Burt was a little protective. He didn't like seeing his son get hurt.
