Summary
He felt weak, his breath coming in short, burning his throat, leaving a sour taste.
He felt pathetic and that was the worst feeling of all. He hated that this was what had become of him. That he had let his feelings rule him in this way. His mother had warned him all his childhood that love would only hurt him, would hinder him; yet here he was beholden to it, ruined by it.
Damian goes through with the surgery.

In a distant memory, Edward could recall listening to the inner thoughts of werewolves from a decade ago. They would go on and on about the overwhelming feeling that would overcome them. All for a person they would follow anywhere.
"Werewolves believe it to be a sign that they have found-... Bella. Before I say this, I want you to understand that this is not a choice for them." He said sympathetically.
Bella bit her lip," Ok. I get it. They don't have a choice. What do they find Edward?"
"Werewolves believe it to be a sign that they have found their soulmate." He concluded with a very clinical tone that Carslie would have praise him for.
