“Proud of us,” is what Taehyung means to tack onto his sentiment, but Jimin eats the words away from him— for maybe the millionth time tonight, if Taehyung counts all the moments under the Microsoft Theater’s darkened arc lights with Jimin’s hand on his thigh. It had stayed there longer than it should’ve, existing as a home base of sorts for the both of them while Jimin’s eyes, chary and hopeful and focused right at his lips, had lingered on him, too. Taehyung had almost kissed him more times than he could count, right there in front of Cardi B and six hundred of the highest quality video cameras.

“Jimin-ah,” Yoongi says like he’s real annoyed about it, but they both know it means “yes,” because it’s always meant yes. This is part of the game, too. Gives Jimin a little something to push against, to sink his teeth into, before Yoongi gives him whatever he wants. He already knows Yoongi will do anyway, so it’s safe to play like this, the push and pull of it, the giving in. It wouldn’t have always been.
“Yeah, ok, I know, ok,” Jimin huffs, but he doesn’t mean it either, and his cheeks go a little pink right after. “Go on, then.”
