Summary
There is a distant realm in another universe named Thedas by those that live there. They are going through a Blight. The dark and grotesque creatures called Darkspawn are threatening to destroy Mundas and Thedas. These dark beings are coming to Mundas through a portal. So, far there have been minor skirmishes that were thwarted by the people of Tamriel. The Daedra and Adera have become aware of this and after a meeting, they have decided to send a hero to defeat the oncoming invasion, after temporarily closing the portal. In Thedas, a land called Fereldan there is one whose destiny has just started. After being betrayed by the Hero of Dane, the Grey Wardens and their companions are trying to gather an army to defeat the blight. There on the road in the midst of battle, they run into a mysterious woman.

“You were looking for an excuse to speak to him anyways, and I gave it to you,” Aphrodite rolls her eyes, disregarding most of his words, and handing Apollo her wine glass in order to pull a mirror out of her bag, checking her lipstick. He resists the urge to spill it over her dress. “And, he asked me for help, even left me offerings. Why wouldn’t I take a chance to make two negatives a positive?”
“He left you dinner leftovers.”
Aphrodite waves it off. “Same thing, really. My children keep leaving me make-up and chocolate. Other people leave flowers. They’re sweet, but at least Percy Jackson offers something less habitual. I hate boredom.”
“You love chaos, and plotting, like with Reyna,” Apollo translates, and starts drinking her wine because, what in Hades, might as well. He needs a drink. “So I was a negative that needed fixing?”
“You are, yes,” she nods, no remorse to it, and Apollo wonders why he decided to go through with this.

Percy Jackson as he clung to the ledge above the pit felt way too similar to his first quest. But as he hangs on a few more moments Percy realizes what Bacchus meant in Kansas. This is his role alone in the prophecy. But alone means a chance to finally let loose without fear of harming those he is loyal to. He realizes something else, fate rights itself, he hadn’t fallen into the pit in the first quest but he is here now.
