"Did we hit a log?" Shane muttered, his instincts kicking in as he moved starboard to inspect the water.
There was a heavy thud against the side of the hull. It didn't sound like a log. It sounded like the smack of leathery flesh. Shane frowned and searched for the cause of the sound. A spray of water erupted over the stern side. Then a huge, scaly figure hauled itself over the gunnel, tilting the boat with impossible strength.
Shane and Ilya decided to vacation in the Black Lagoon.
