Panda lumbered past, carrying his own paper bag in his big paws. He stopped before Atsuya, staring down at the blood coating his side curiously.
"Trying healing again, Higuruma-san?" he said. "You did it?"
"No, that was Ieiri," Hiromi sighed. Panda hummed and looked Atsuya in the eyes.
"Here, sensei," he rumbled, handing over the bag. Atsuya took it with furrowed brows and peered inside. He went pale. "…I think it's time you visited Masamichi's room."
How one Kusakabe Atsuya, with the help of his disgustingly competent lawyer boyfriend, accidentally stages a coup.

"You're shameless."
"Yet you can't look away," Higuruma said, muffled by the lollipop. He didn't know how to speak around it like Atsuya did. "You're just as shameless as I, o master of the shadows."
"Are we having a conversation now?" said Atsuya. Higuruma blinked up at him slowly.
"We've had many."
"You know what I mean."
Higuruma fell horribly silent for a second. Atsuya felt his throat squeeze tight in anticipation.
A month after Shinjuku, Kusakabe and Higuruma talk about that sort-of-but-not-really relationship of theirs. It's (unfortunately for Kusakabe) absolutely fraught with drama.

“It’s a fair deal,” Toji tells Shiwoo, in April, after showing up at his doorstep with three duffle bags and two kids trailing after him.
Shiwoo smokes at the kitchen counter, occasionally leaning into the living room where Megumi and Tsumiki sit, enraptured by his betta fish aquarium. He’s got a pensive expression on his face, arms folded across his chest.
When he says nothing, Toji repeats. “I camp out in the Star Vessel Corridor for a week and make sure no one kills Tengen’s new shell and in turn, the Jujutsu Tech takes the kid.”
Shiwoo’s eyes slide over him like water down a duck’s back; quick and almost undetectable. But Toji catches it. His grin feels plastic, his teeth too sharp against the inside of his cheeks. “I’d be stupid not to take it.”
AKA A story where Fushiguro Toji had different employers for The Hidden Inventory arc and about how, sometimes, the best solution is already in your hands.

“Kusakabe Atsuya stands accused of improperly discarding waste upon a public roadway on October 31, 2018, in Shibuya, in violation of public waste disposal regulations.”
Improperly discarding waste? Atsuya gapes. Did he even – he wracks his brain for what Judgeman could even be referring to. He remembers that day, the day everything went to hell, like it was just yesterday. He’d entered the barrier at around 9:20 PM, didn’t do much of anything until 11, confronted those curse users outside the station, almost got killed by Sukuna, almost got killed by Kenjaku, watched the beginning of the end of the world, then went home to sleep on it.
Higuruma raises an eyebrow. His faintly amused gaze dips down, down, and drags over Atsuya’s lips, pointedly lingering on the lollipop stick poking out.
The realization comes to him, quick as lightning.
Out of all the things that happened in Shibuya on that day, Higuruma’s shikigami is prosecuting him for littering?

In which Headquarters needs written documentation about Higuruma's cursed technique, and Atsuya is one unlucky guy.
