Obi Wan wasn't ready for an apprentice, he knows that much for sure. It's not time for that; he's much too young and inexperienced. Even if he hadn't known it before, he certainly would after months of overheard whispers through the temple halls telling him so.
He feels the inadequacy even more surely in moments like this, when Anakin seems so very determined to cause as much trouble for him as possible. This time around, it was the news he'd been skipping classes.

Darth Vader died on the Death Star in the arms of his son. Now Anakin Skywalker remains in the World Between Worlds to keep the balance of the Force earned in fire and blood. He is at peace... but the question remains "If I could do it again could I avoid all of the destruction, all of the pain, all of the death?" Of course he can't. He's dead. But maybe he could stop a younger version of himself from making the same mistakes. Only time will tell.
