Summary
His uncertain days, in collusion with enemies, he fills with routine that feels almost unsanitary. He is grateful, and that scares him too, when he falls into Olrox’s cold arms, when he listens to his soft stories of a warm and faraway land. When he talks like that, with care and love, Mizrak sees the Devil for what he truly is; comfort in the face of waning faith.
“We are on the same side, technically” The Devil lilts. “You don’t need to glare at me in Daylight”
“You're faking alliances for your own end” He tells him.
Olrox’s eyebrow quirks, his hair falls when he tilts his head, a wave over his front. He always looks gently incredulous, like he thinks Mizrak is a child.
“What’s your Abbot doing, then?”

His words echo clearly, the vampire’s pure plea to him. And Mizrak cannot forget the sweet, rich taste of Olrox’s blood, sucking the last hints of its flavor from his teeth.
Suddenly, Mizrak scoffs and pushes Olrox back. “I despise what you’ve done to me. My journey to hell has only been delayed.”
“That isn’t true, and I think you know that,” Olrox cuts in gently. “Your god only led you to a fanatical necromancer. Your faith has never served you. But I would.” Olrox pleads, “I will.”
