Summary
Alice, a deeply sensitive woman struggling with grief, depression, and a difficult relationship, finds comfort in the mobile game Love and Deepspace—especially with the character Caleb Xia, whom she talks to as if he were real. One day, after a routine shower, Alice is shocked to find Caleb has inexplicably appeared in her living room, real and flesh-and-blood. At first, she’s convinced she’s hallucinating, but Caleb reassures her—he’s truly crossed over from his world, drawn by their mysterious bond and her heartfelt wishes. They awkwardly navigate the initial shock, both overwhelmed but deeply curious about each other. Caleb admits he’s seen and heard Alice through strange “windows” from his world and wanted to find her for real. Alice, struggling with insecurity and fear, is comforted by Caleb’s unwavering kindness and genuine affection. Their connection deepens as they share vulnerable moments and face the looming reality of Alice’s neglectful boyfriend, John, returning home.
Realizing how unhappy she is with John, and supported by Caleb’s presence, Alice finds the courage to start choosing herself and her own happiness. Their story unfolds as a blend of comedy, romance, healing, and domestic intimacy.
