“Good evening ladies and gentlemen! To start off our night, please welcome… Rule X!”
Ritsuka could hear the cheers and his heart pounded as the veil began to rise. He stood absolutely still, breathing deeply, allowing the feel of the stage beneath his feet, the scorching of the lights across his skin, to ground him. Lifting his head, he looked out into the crowd. For a moment, nausea rose up inside him and his vision started to swim as he took in the sea of faces. Another deep breath. Ritsuka swallowed down the awful, fluttering sensation inside him and concentrated on the people in the front. There. Three boys around his age. The first two didn’t really catch his attention, but the third was looking right at him, a challenge in his honeyed brown eyes.
Ritsuka grinned. Challenge accepted.

“Study period has been moved to…” Ritsuka shook his head. “Nope. That is all the way across campus. I do not have the energy.”
Ritsuka had stayed late at the bakery last night, cleaning and ordering extra stock for the holiday sale that was just around the corner. He hadn’t gotten home until well past midnight.
“Guess it’s just us then,” Kaza said, setting his books on the nearest worktable before locking the classroom door. “You don’t mind, do you?”
“Why did you lock the door?” Ritsuka asked.
That too charming, pants dropping smile made an appearance. His brother-in-law chuckled.
“Ue, you don’t really want to study, do you?”
Kaza leaned casually against their workbench, fingering the buttons on his eye-catching vest. Oh fuck. Setting their coffees down before he dropped them, Ritsuka made his way over to the blond. Fisting the crimson length of silk that taunted him, he gave Kaza’s tie a sharp tug.

Ritsuka was getting married tomorrow. Sure, it wouldn’t be officiated, or legally binding. He had two grooms. Their only option for a wedding was a handfasting ceremony, but the raven haired, blue eyed man gave zero fucks about the technicalities. It was their big day and Ritsuka couldn’t wait to be their husband. Wife? Yuki had teased him just that morning, Mafuyu nodding sagely in agreement before the three parted ways for the day. All of them were busy with work and some last minute errands that needed to be completed before their honeymoon. Ritsuka twisted the ring his boyfriends had given him when they proposed, his nerves threatening to get the better of him. It might have something to do with the intimidating building he stood outside of.

“Are you two watching that garbage again?”
Kaza and Koi rolled their eyes, offended in a way that only small children could be, but far too comfortable inside their pillow fort to chastise Yushin for his rude (and not to mention wrong) opinion about their favourite show. His grandparents’ PA was completely biased when it came to anime. To be fair, unless it was the news, the man was biased towards TV in general. Kaza, sure that he could win Yushin over with facts, mustered all of the seriousness his six year old body could handle and proceeded to impart his wisdom onto the oblivious adult.
“Death Note is not garbage,” Kaza stated.
