The timeline created after the destruction of the Evil Entity is supposed to be perfect. Everyone's supposed to be happy. Everyone's supposed to have their perfect endings.
There must be something wrong with the four meddling kids and their dog. They can't shake the fierce desire to go home.
Back to a home that no longer exists. To a home that's dark and wicked but familiar.
To a home that holds mysteries and unbreakable friendships and a life they chose, not one thrust upon them.
That home is gone, but they still have pieces of it.
They just have to choose whether to grasp onto those pieces with all their might or to let them go forever.

Summary
Kris was the brave one. The fighter, the protector— it truly was no wonder this world made them a knight. It fit them perfectly.
Noelle wasn’t any of that. She certainly didn’t feel like it, and in this world (This fantasy? This dream?) where they had to fight to get by, she struggled on her own. That’s why she had Kris. Kris who promised to protect her.
But something gets to Kris, weakens them to the point where no matter how much Noelle tries to heal them with magic, they can’t fight.
Which means Noelle will have to. And after all these years of Kris protecting her, she’s determined to return the favor.
