Summary
I am deeply frustrated as I have loved Lego ninjago since I was a little ity bitty kid, and Kai was my favorite character since day one. Watching Dragon’s Rising( no hate) I felt like they were using him for comic relief and forgetting his past and personality. (Spoilers) Not to mention Kai almost died and is in this weird realm and we get one shout from Nya, who was basically Kai’s child. In no way shall I believe it, so I have decided to write this fanfic.
—no hate to the show, just that Kai deserved better in my opinion

To say Cole has secretly been pinning over his straight best friend for the last 4 years would sound ridiculous, though he wouldn't be able to deny it. Although he tried to move on, it seemed like his stone heart yearned for the heat of his friend's fire touch. After watching Kai date other women, an opportunity arose, giving him hope that maybe, he felt the same. But self-acceptance is messier than he remembered.Especially when friendship and a life is on the line.
