Summary
Clint has a new job with some spooky secretive types, and he's looking to spend his paycheck on some honest to god furniture. Somehow, he manages to buy a recliner inhabited by a benign genie.
However, not all is as it seems when Clint accidentally makes a wish, and the genie vanishes. That's when things start to go really off kilter.

Summary
Thing about Stark … Avengers … Tower is that there were too many Goddamn beds. Not just the extravagant suites Tony handed out like candy to the lost souls he seemed to collect, but also floors filled with hotel-like rooms for visiting S.I. executives and sofas that had mattresses folded up inside of them in so many conference spaces. Hell, there were even Murphy beds in offices for the bigwigs who lived in NYC in case they worked late and didn’t want to go home before catching some ZZZs.
But none of them worked for Clint.

As soon as he opened the door, he heard the music, a song with guitars and a singer with a pronounced twang to his voice. Something about a gambler and knowing when to hold ‘em -- he recognized country when he heard it because his mom had listened to the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday night when she was off work. Standing in front of the stove, humming along, was Clint Barton, wearing a ratty pair of sweatpants that used to be grey and a purple t-shirt that had seen better days. He had a skillet over the heat and what looked like scrambled eggs in the pan.

It started in the morning meeting for next year’s budget allocation for strike teams. The numbers on the page in front him grew a little more distant, a little shinier around the edges. He blinked, but it stayed, the letters seeming to shrink. By the time Dinesh got to his favorite hobby horse of Delta’s R&D costs, the shimmer started, low in his right eye, a minor distortion; Phil would have to wait to see how bad this one was going to be. There was no rhyme nor reason to why some migraines fizzled out and others knocked him on his ass.
Not that it mattered anyway; he had too much on his calendar to let a little thing like his head being drilled and flayed open to stop him from getting it done.

Five seconds later, someone tapped at the window. Swallowing a sigh and the urge to ask the universe what he’d done wrong, Phil walked over to let Barton in. Barton smiled sheepishly from where he was crouched on the window ledge. Unfolding himself, Barton jumped down to the floor and Phil tried to ignore the shiver that went down his spine at Bartons sinuous grace. Tried, and failed, but what else was new. To hide the sudden heat in his cheeks, Phil stuck his head out the window and yep. No ropes.
Phil Coulson's birthdays over the years, starting with the first time he met Clint Barton. (Or, 5 times Clint climbed in throguh Phil's window on his birthday, and the 1 time he used the door.)
