Husk has said he'll never redeem. But with Angel gone, he's having trouble insisting eternal damnation is what he deserves. He misses his boyfriend and hasn't he suffered enough? Mind made up, he works on his path to redemption so he can see the love of his existence again.
When he finally ascends, his joy quickly turns to heartbreak. Angel doesn't remember a thing.

With a scoff, Husk leans against the bar. “He knows,” he says simply, because Angel is smart enough to understand that. Husk didn’t have to care this much, but god damnit he does, and Angel’s a moron if he doesn’t get it.
Wanting Angel Dust is dangerous. But Husk is stupid enough to look the consequences of his actions in the face and say fuck you.
