“T-thank you.” Tzuyu muttered at Chaeyoung, loud enough to break through the rain. It was all she could get out.
Chaeyoung nodded once, quick and small. She couldn’t quite look at her. Not when Tzuyu’s eyes were still glassy, lashes clumped together from rain and tears. Instead, she tilted her face up toward the storm, pretending to examine the sky like it held something urgent.
“Yeah,” she muttered. “No problem.”
She should leave. That’s the normal response Right? Drop off the dog. Exit stage.
