Summary
“The confusing effect this woman is having on her is setting itself deep in her mind. A total stranger is sitting next to her, about to drive her ten minutes to a motel as a kind favor, nothing else, but oddly she feels like it’s something more. It’s as if she has always known her. Like sitting in this passenger seat as she relaxes into it — smelling the musk of cigarettes, flowers in the form of daisies and roses, and the fresh scent of nothing more than the earth surrounding them — is like returning home after a long time away.”
It’s the Summer of 1973. Dani flees her wedding and finds herself lost near the border of Ohio when a certain nomad, Jamie, finds her walking on the side of the road. After offering Dani a ride, they find themselves journeying the country. Over the course of the days they spend together, their relationship blossoms.

Summary
jamie meets danielle at a gay bar and sparks fly, leading them to spending the night at the latter's place. the next day, jamie discovers a few bewildering truths that the woman had purposefully kept to herself.
decided to move on and angry at herself for having fallen for this mysterious woman, fate shows her repeatedly that forgetting her won't be precisely easy (less alone when they keep on accidentally running into each other).

Summary
Immediately, two things become clear to Dani as she shields her eyes from the blazing late-June sun:
First, she is the only passenger to disembark at this station, leaving her all alone on the platform as the sleek commuter train whizzes off towards its next destination.
Second, the owner of Leafling Farms who was meant to pick her up from the station promptly at 2 p.m., is nowhere to be seen.

Summary
When Dani receives a letter in the mail from her mom telling her that she’ll be coming to visit Bly Manor - along with Dani’s ex-fiancé and his mother - she realizes the only way to get them to all move on is to convince them that she already has. With Jamie pretending to be her girlfriend (and quite convincingly, she might add), what could possibly go wrong?
