Summary
"Dean, let me ask you something."
"What?" Dean asks, taking another swig of his beer.
Cas picks nervously at the label on his bottle, peeling it away beneath his thumbnail. "Do my gray hairs bother you?"
Dean laughs beside him. Not cruelly. Just a low, warm chuckle that makes something twist painfully inside Cas's chest.
"What gray hairs, man?"
Maybe it's the beer, or the way Dean is looking at him. Or the fact that Cas has spent far too long convincing himself that the difference between them matters more than the way Dean's eyes linger whenever he thinks Cas isn't paying attention.
Whatever restraint Cas has left finally snaps. He reaches over, catches Dean by the back of the neck, and kisses him.
Dean gasps against his mouth, startled, and then Cas's tongue slides into his mouth, the small metal ball of his tongue ring catching against Dean's—and suddenly, Dean is kissing him back.

Cas has spent months trying very hard not to notice his neighbor's gorgeous, flirtatious, entirely-too-young son. Dean is getting a little tired of waiting for him to notice.
