Summary
To everyone that got to know Law, they knew that his past haunted him. His enemies knew he hated them and his friends knew his tragedies. Those same tragedies were what built those walls around his heart. His loved ones knew that Law cared deeply, but he was too tired to truly show it. But they all knew it so they didn't push it. Yet there is a wish they all have for the captain that leads them.
They all said that they hoped one day Law would smile as wide as their jolly roger without any care.
Or
Time Traveler!Law but the POV is everyone else's.

Naofumi wasn’t exactly a human. He was half-human. More specifically he was born from a union between his Bakeneko father and his human mother.
Or a character and plot exploration if Naofumi was half-Bakeneko.

Summary
It was the first step and a chance. Nobody to be there to watch her at her starting point. The whispers were merely the tailwind that made her steps reach farther and the shadows were the stepping stones that ensured her place on that lonely peak. From the top, all she needs to do is learn how to fly.
Or a reincarnated girl wakes up, concerns everyone around her, and decides that's definitely not her problem.
Cross-Posted from FF .net, just starting to transfer onto AO3. This also serves as a revision (ie. spell checks, ect), but it'll hold true to the writing style that I had back then.

Summary
Sometimes, the cartoons we grow up with have the lessons that we remember the most. As fantastical as they are, we still learn from them.
And sometimes, those stories are what we cling to against reality.
