“Don’t be stupid,” Theon tries to tell Jon and Robb, “Moonwolves are just a nursery story.” But that very night, Lord Eddard proves him wrong, rippling and changing as he drops to all fours in his study, replaced by a massive direwolf with fur the same color as his hair and identical steadfast eyes looking out at the three of them from a somber face.
Theon backpedals so swiftly his head collides with the far wall.
