Summary
Although they're both omegas, Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian have been drawn to each other since the day they met, but Wei Wuxian has found one excuse after another to tell himself it's not real.
Lan Wangji finally gets Wei Wuxian to admit his feelings and that they are, in fact, zhiji, at the Phoenix Mountain hunt—just before everything goes to hell.
Wei Ying takes him by the shoulders. "Lan Zhan, please. That's not your place in this. If you love me, don't come with us. Go home and convince our sects that the Jin are in the wrong. I'll hide them, it's up to you to make sure we can come out of hiding safely."
As much as Lan Wangji knows he's right, he can't bring himself to agree immediately. He can't just leave Wei Ying now. Not after all of this.
Wei Ying moves his hands down to take Lan Wangji's and squeezes. Lan Wangji squeezes back, their skin slippery wet and clammy against each other. "This is how you court me, Lan Zhan—help me save these people by doing the part of this that I can't do, because no one will listen to me."

Summary
Wei Wuxian fell... and landed on a sidewalk 600 years in the future. Right in front of Lan Zhan and Lan Xichen, modern cultivators on their way home from a cultivation conference.
A surprising amount of historical information has been lost to time - some due to natural destruction, some due to rampant revisionism. In particular, the true identity of the Yiling Laozu has been erased from history, with no sect willing to claim him and everyone eager to hide any ties they once had to him.
As Wei Ying helps the Lans fill in the missing pieces of history, Lan Zhan knows there are things he’s not telling them. He also knows that it doesn’t matter what those secrets are; nothing will keep him from standing at Wei Ying’s side.
Eventually, Wei Wuxian has to face the fact that he can’t correct some of history’s most important oversights without coming clean about his identity. Proving to the world that he is who he says he is takes them to Lanling, where they unearth history even he didn’t know about.

Summary
The Sunshot Campaign was losing. It was only a matter of time before Wen Ruohan beat them into submission. There were rumours surrounding a force in Yiling that could potentially turn the tide. The place was taken from the Wen early in the war but no one knows by whom, known only as the 'Yiling Patriarch'. All forces that the Wen have sent to try and retake Yiling have been destroyed entirely. If he allied with the campaign then it could potentially turn the tide of the war. A messenger was sent to him asking what he wants in exchange for an alliance.
The response came back: the heir of one of the Great Sects in marriage. For the war to be won, someone must be sacrificed.

His phone buzzes again, and Lan Zhan picks it up this time. To his surprise, it's a message from the Blood Bank.
The Blood Bank was a way for him to make money faster, beyond his usual teaching job, to help his mother. He tried not to think too much about the fact that there were random faceless vampires feasting on his blood.
Frowning to himself, Lan Zhan clicks the message.
"You have been selected as a special provider for a very prestigious client! The Yiling Laozu has chosen you to be a part of his regular collaborators!"
Lan Zhan raises an eyebrow when he sees the name.
Very few vampires are known amongst humans, because they keep well hidden, but Yiling Laozu is one of the most well-known ones.
