This is for Quest Mari who commented on my previous story called Quiet the winter harbor. I'm going to try my best to follow what you requested. In fact, I'm going to be projecting myself onto dazai for something that happened to me as a child and I got punished for it so beware there is corporal punishment in this story. If it's not to your guys liking, I apologize but I'm just writing about something that happened to me while following Mari's request. Hopefully you find this and like it Mari<3

Summary
Dazai and Oda deflected from the mafia a year ago and things haven't been the same since. Oda lost the orphans he took care of, grown to love, they were gone. Burned alive in a van, an explosive left inside, it went off the moment oda made it to the van. Nothing was left of them, except for their burnt bodies. Oda had almost died that night but dazai made it there before he could. Oda had pleaded for him to let him die, he killed Mimic, he lost his children, he had nothing but dazai insisted... and he hated him for it.
(Very oc, most of my writing about the characters are not meant to be canon.)

Summary
It was late in the evening, around 8, dazai and chuuya decided to try and do tricks they saw on tv. They laid out some couch pillows on the floor to act as a mat so they wouldn't hurt themselves. It was probably a dumb idea, mom and dad weren't watching them and that was why they came up with such a dumb idea.
(They're both nine years old. I refuse to write anything weird between the two. I know some find dazai and chuuya being brothers weird so that's why I take out what makes them soukoku and make them have a genuine brotherly relationship. Yeah.)

Tane Dazai and Tetsuo Dazai just barely got home from their date, their son had been left alone just this one time because he managed to convince them to let him be home alone for once. He was fifteen, usually they hired a babysitter and maybe that was strange because he was too old for it but they didn't care. See, their son was a bit suicidal, they didn't trust him. This was the first time they decided to actually trust his word that he wouldn't do anything stupid and it was a mistake they'll never make ever again.

Oda was making dinner in the kitchen, he could hear dazai's cartoons from the tv in the living room as the boy played with his toys. Osamu, was nine, a michevious but adorable kiddo. Ango was at work, he had an office job, he would be home soon. But for now it was just him and osamu.

Dazai's eye twitched. Even dogs didn't irritate him as much as his upcoming mission. After thinking for a bit, Dazai was about to throw his new letter into the nearest trash can, but remembering what Mori could do with it, he abandoned this idea. Maybe just commit suicide?
