Catra has spent her entire life balancing between a normal life, and living with a chronic condition that worked hard to keep her confined to a hospital bed. Her health had never been easy to manage, but at least she had her family and Adora to help her cope with it the best she could, while still having as normal a college experience as possible.
Then Zed forces his way into her life, and things change for the worse, putting her world on a timer she can't let reach zero.

Adora has a great life, she lives in a big house, has two wonderful parents, and a brother who isn’t ( that often) annoying, she also goes to a great school where she's a star student and athlete, plus has amazing friends beside her! Sure, she’s been feeling more tired lately and has been having more bruises and nosebleeds than usual, but that’s probably just because she overworked herself; nothing some offseason can’t fix?. But besides that, Adora has everything she ever wanted. It can’t Get Better then this, right?
Or Adora's leukemia diagnosis sends her and everyone around her worlds crashing down
