Summary
“This is Ilya. Rozanov. But you already know that. He’s visiting and we’re—” Ilya refused to let him drown in front of his parents, he gave them the bluntest truth he had: “Lovers.”
“Ilya—no. That’s gross.”
And Ilya (who had spent years being careless but was trying to be careful and worthy) in that moment decided that if they were doing this, then they were doing it properly. Because they're not lovers. Not after last night, when Ilya’s “I could marry Svetlana” had caused Shane Hollander looked at him like he’d rather commit a murder-suicide than let him go... and proposed.
“Engaged. We’re engaged.”
If he gave his future father-in-law a heart attack, was that a bad start… or just proof Shane Hollander really had made him recklessly in love?

Some people wanted a fic based on this tweet of my #DontYouDareFuckingFreeMe fic:
Josh @mtrlfan703
I’ll be honest and admit that if those two had made out on the ice before this, I would have assumed they had lost a bet.
JayJason @Youdon’tknowme
‘Losing a bet’ would have let them get away with so much, though… Like why are you at your rival's game? I lost a bet. Why are you wearing your rival's jersey? I lost a bet. Why are you hanging out together? I lost a bet. Why are you making him breakfast in bed? I lost a bet.
Josh @mtrlfan703
Hell, I’d have believed it if they said they got drunk and their teammates dared them to get married in Vegas.
JayJason @Youdon’tknowme
‘First one to annul the marriage loses’ and no one is surprised when they end up sharing a tombstone…
So I decided to try and write it.

Summary
Summer at the cottage was supposed to be relaxing. It turns into everything but—when Ilya drops “I could marry Svetlana” for an american visa like it’s a grocery list item. Shane’s face says over my dead body while Ilya, delighted, teases him for looking ready to commit “murder-suicide.” (He’s not wrong.)
Shane Hollander has one big problem: he can’t let Ilya Rozanov marry anyone else. Not now. Not ever. So he does the unthinkable and proposes the most boring solution imaginable almost by accident.

Summary
After two months of being on Rozanov watch post him being dumped by Montreal Jane, the Raiders all breathe a sigh of relief when their captain goes back to his usual happy self after All-Stars.
Cliff, Victor, and Connor notice that the timing of Ilya’s good mood coincides strangely well with the speculation (read: open secret) that Hollander and Rozanov definitely banged it out sometime during that weekend and after some theorizing, they’re pretty sure their captain has had a years long crush on Hollander and that his happiness hinges on making his giant crush on Shane Hollander come to fruition.
Of course, as his friends, they need to help him to the best of their abilities.
