There’s something electric in the air when their eyes meet; strong enough to tamp down the devastation Kiyoomi feels in the pit of his stomach, the stitches carefully sewn between the shattered fragments of his heart coming apart at the sight of Atsumu being here at his door tonight.

Summary
He stares at the roach, notices how it’s smashed over a photo of him and Osamu. They're standing in the garden outside. Its flattened corpse is smeared directly over Atsumu’s smiling face. He closes the album and slides it under the bed. He turns off the light and tries not to view it as a sign.
Or: Atsumu grows up, confronts his past, has a meltdown, and finally embraces the future. Just...not necessarily in that order.

His friend casts a furtive glance down either side of the hallway. Once he’s deemed the coast clear, he pushes back the long curls covering his eyes and blinks comically slow. “I need eye drops.”
Holy shit.
“Are you—are you high right now?”
