    Summary

There might have been a version of him, confronted with this sight, who would crumble and beg for forgiveness, but that Merlin seems so far away now.

At his very core, he supposes he’ll never change; he’ll be the same man who acts without thinking for his own safety, the same man who leaps into fire and lets it engulf him, lets it leave marks, and most importantly, he’ll be the same man who bleeds and bruises for Arthur.

Merlin’s proud of that, even when the man he fights for is pointing a sword at him.

A 'Merlin learns how to use a sword' fic with UST, badass Merlin supremacy, and strong platonic friendships.
