//
‘Whatever you say,’ Mira says, corner of her mouth curling in a smile. Not teasing anymore. Just incredibly fond. She asks, ‘Need anything?’
Her quiet sincerity always plants something warm in Rumi’s chest. A tiny smouldering ember of something she is always, forever diligent in squashing before it can become something dangerous. It’s as easy as looking away from Mira and busying herself with work again, which is to say that it is one of the most difficult things in the world.
But Rumi is no stranger to hard work.
‘I’m all set, I think.’
‘…Okay. Let me know if that changes.’
‘I will.’

Summary
Laughing, Mira teases, “Know many wine critics, do you?”
“I know a few!”
“Well, if you happen to know any willing to visit and review, by all means, please tell them to come.” Mira angles her head, smiling. “But in the meantime, your glowing review is plenty.”
Rumi blinks, then flushes, bringing the glass back to her lips and looking away, casting her eyes towards the setting sun painting the vineyard in brilliant, flaming hues. “I’m glad you think so,” she mutters, shoulders hunched.
“Of course.” Mira can’t tear her gaze away for some reason, taking advantage of Rumi’s attention being elsewhere to admire the way the orange of sunset strokes her skin, highlighting the contours of her face and the bold purple of her hair.
She looks perfect, really. As beautiful as the Italian countryside around them.
Or: When vineyard owner Mira takes on a guest in her Italian villa for the next month, the last thing she expects is Rumi: beautiful, bold, and the first person to truly match Mira's passion for her craft. What starts as a simple stay soon grows into a guided tour around the local countryside and perhaps, over a shared bottle of wine, even more.

Summary
Edelgard does not believe in fate, but there are ties here she feels she doesn’t understand. Rhea is Seiros, saint of the church that made the world, and Edelgard is her dedicated iconoclast. Through this, they are bound in conflict. One raises her hand. The other tears it down. Yet here they are, sitting in the garden, Rhea’s hands scraping the fallen frost off of her garden. Here they are, Rhea’s voice carrying a soft tune, Edelgard listening.
The saint looks up. The heretic looks back.
