Between reaching the top of the Tower and being with his friends, Bam would definitely choose to stay with his friends.

To let him go back in time so he could be with them again.
He didn't expect how his return to the past ended up though.
Or
An AU where future Bam went back in time to his younger self's body but his younger self's consciousness is still there and so they share the same body as they go through the Tower.

One step after another.
Slowly. Too slowly.
Honey eyes looked up, where shining stars blinked back to him. Some would have said that the stars could never shine brighter than his eyes. But they were no longer there. And his eyes, which had always been so dazzling, had lost that so loved light.
He closed his eyes, tired. All faded to white.
And blue eyes opened, startled.Times not do anyone any favours.
Yet, looking at that empty ceiling so familiar, he couldn't think of anything but this: Maybe, just maybe, it wasn't too late to save his loved one, to save him from all that will happen."I wish I could've met Baam before you did"
And somehow, in that instant, he decided to do everything for this to happen, fate and Tower be damned.
(A Time travel AU that nobody asked, where it's not Baam, but the others who travel back because the cinnamon need rests and happiness (though I won't give it so easily).
