It’s mortifying, the way Steve’s desperate whimpers and bone-deep groans are pinballing off the tile with such force, they can’t not be spilling out into the gym. It doesn’t matter that the rest of the team filtered out a half hour ago and there’s no one around to hear it; Bucky is knocking loose sounds from behind Steve’s clenched teeth that he’s sure must be echoing all the way across campus.
It’s fucking reckless, and Steve’s burning pure kerosene in his veins for it.

“Both. Either. You know there’s only so many male Omega, and then to find the beefy ones on top of that? Clive says he’s not gonna go back.”

The first time John heard about Steve Rogers, he was a glass of wine deep on his very first date with Bucky Barnes and could not stop staring at his date’s mouth. John had been nervous before they got there, nervous that he was trying too hard with him, nervous he’d embarrass himself. But as Bucky sat across from him, the dim lighting of the wine bar playing up the angles of his face, softening the sharp cut of his sleek black jacket, John thought that Bucky should never be brought to anywhere with glasses of wine costing less than $46 each.
He watched Bucky sip at his glass, the deep red of the wine staining his lips as they parted. “My roommate,” he paused and then he surprised John by laughing softly. “He’s the most important person in my life.”
