The boy scrunches his face in confusion, little hand still offered in greeting between them.
“I don’t think so,” he tells her.
“I am a monster,” she says.
Never trust a monster, his nanny had once told him. And never turn your back on one.
Or: Ever since he was a child, Jaskier’s been warned about treading the same paths as dangerous creatures. So naturally he goes and gets adopted into a family of sirens and then falls in love with a witcher.
It proves both a boon and a curse for his life expectancy.

Summary
Words have power. Everyone knows this.
But Jaskier knows this more than most. For as much as he fancies toying around with words in his songs and lyrics, he’s careful to measure the weight and feel of them when they really matter.
Which is why Geralt’s words hit him like a physical blow, crack him open down to his very bones. They swirl and twine together with the words his queen had said, right before she banished him to the human realm.

Summary
From the moment Jaskier lays eyes on the white-haired stranger in Posada, he's mesmerized. The man is a mystery he can't wait to solve, and for twenty-two years he finds himself by his side, trying to find out who Geralt of Rivia really, truly is. Eventually, he gives the Witcher his heart, hoping that, maybe, this time, it won't get broken.
From the moment Geralt first sees the blue-eyed Bard, he tries his best to keep his distance. To not corrupt Jaskier's light. Still, he realizes the Bard changes the way the Witcher sees himself, makes him realize that maybe he's not the monster he's always believed himself to be. Eventually, he gives the Bard his heart, and hopes that, maybe, he won't break Jaskier's.
And then he makes the worst mistake of his life, and he's left to pick up the pieces of their friendship, somehow.

Something was standing above his towel.
No… someone.
They seemed to be observing the towel, claws tapping against the material with what he took as curiosity, pinching it between the appendage.
Was it Rocky? It’d make sense, the Eridian would certainly have something harsh to say about him leaving his stuff laying around. He always had some mean quip to insult his shoddy human memory.
He opened his mouth to defend himself before Rocky could say something snappy, when the figure then moved, stocky legs rising from beneath their carapace and lifting them to their full standing height.
They were tall. Too tall.
That wasn’t Rocky.

Grace receives an unexpected visitor one night in his home on Erid.
