I loved every minute of it—and honestly, that’s probably a lot more minutes than you realize. If I’m still alive, though, we should have tea tomorrow. Assuming this arrived at its intended time on your 55th birthday.
Harry Potter was supposed to be done.
He had survived Voldemort, the Ministry, the press, several educational disasters, and far too many adults with plans.
Thrown back into 1991 with all his memories intact, Harry decides he has absolutely no intention of following the script. Privet Drive is first on the chopping block. Gringotts is next. After that, he'll need Remus Lupin, Hermione, Ron, and one boa constrictor with delusions of grandeur.
Harry knows the future.
Unfortunately, the future knows how to bite back.

Summary
Back for their Eighth Year at Hogwarts, Harry and Malfoy's mutual hatred persists. Malfoy appears unwell, guarded, and as usual, up to something. Despite his own mental struggles, Harry is determined to uncover Malfoy's secrets.
Malfoy catches him spying one night. During their confrontation, Filch starts heading their way. They hide in a cramped closet together, triggering Harry's childhood memories and sending him into a panic attack.
“I’m not them,” Draco whispered, his voice losing its edge, replaced by a hollow, aching realization.

Shanks knew, of course, that a far removed village like this couldn’t be faulted for not recognizing his jolly roger, but it was still a jolly roger. There wasn’t even anyone with the boy, and that made all of Shanks’ instincts flare up.
He called a halfhearted order to his first mate, watching the child carefully as he looked at the Red Force with stars in his eyes and pearls in his hair.
