Summary
The drawbacks of immortality is always seeing the ones you love die and die again. The comfort of reincarnation can only go so far when it means you have to watch them die yet again. It is a curse to remember every lifetime and to treat each lifetime as a new slate. Having a soulmate come back in the form of another being every life time is something to look forward to in each generational cycle.
How annoying it is for the soul of your wife to be reincarnated as your daughter.
