Summary
The sun is just barely cresting over the far mountains as Marya bikes along the lake’s edge. The cold wind is biting despite her heavy layers, her pannier rattling on the back of the rickety bike. She comes up on her first stop quickly, pulling up to the front of a house that, allegedly, used to be red. She doesn’t bother knocking on the door, the cars are already gone from the driveway; she stays on her bike as she goes around, through the yard and to the back door, where it’s already open as a little brunette kid scrambles to put her shoes on and get her bag ready. There’s a moment of stillness before Ludmila looks glances around, her face lighting up as she sees Marya.

Summary
It’s never not hot in the gladlands. Its an arid wasteland, nobody on the Carer Van expects it to be cold, really, whether its out in the salt quarry or in the humid swamps of Rotglob. That doesn’t mean that mid-summer won’t be two to three weeks of incessant complaining, though.
This go around, to his utter delight, Ash is around. She lived in a hot humid swamp for so long she’s perfectly fine with the heat, whether it be arid or almost water, her bug eyes let her help out Tess with scouting through the thick dusty air, and she has one particular skill that’s more helpful than anyone would have imagined to keep up morale; making some incredible fucking chili.

Summary
It's the first hot day in months and likely the last before the cold winter season overtakes Elmville. Adaine wants nothing more than to have a good time with her friends, but her parents have this magical way of making her miserable in every way imaginable, even when they put zero effort into it to the point she would think it unintentional if she didn't know better. Suffice to say, everyone is having a lovely day at the river, and Adaine is stuck inside.
Luckily, her friends have a habit of caring Way too much and going Way too far to help her; they've commited worse crimes, whats a little breaking and entering?

“So. How do I look?” She does a half-hearted spin, the smile she makes feeling more like a grimace, but Gilear's eyes light up when he sees her in a way they so very rarely do. Surely that means she should just keep playing along, right?“Oh, Figueroth, you look simply wonderful! Why, it’s been so long since I’ve seen you in a dress,” he fawns, and Fig feels ants crawling on her skin, wringing her hands nervously. Her discomfort must show, because Gilears eyebrows get a little furrow between them, her heart rate picking up. Her palms are uncomfortably sweaty despite the cold hallway.
“How do you like it, Fig?”

Tango has weird dreams where he talks to this sheriff character, who insists, in turn, that he is the one dreaming. Which made no sense! The Sheriff was just a voice inside his head. Wasn't he...? Still, it all felt strangely familiar, and he couldn't put his finger on why.
