My first ever public fanfiction! It's defintely really cheesy, but I'm having a lot of fun writing it, and hope you have fun reading it!
It's been a long time since Frisk freed the underground, and yet, it feels like she hasn't made any progress since coming back to the surface. Chara and Asriel are still trapped in their own ways, monsters are still oppressed, despite being free, and Frisk missed a lot in the years she spent in the underground. It's going to take a long time, she knows, but maybe, with Chara at her side, maybe it won't be so bad? Frisk tries to keep her head up, but it won't be too long before her nightmares wear her down.
Chara's been trapped for a long time. Decades, centuries? After a while, it didn't even bother her, like time ceased to pass. You get used to it, being down there for so long. That was, until she was revived by Frisk. It had been a long time since she'd lost all hope in humans, but Frisk... Frisk was different. And maybe, just maybe, that meant Chara could be different too. Maybe she already is.

I have never had one of those before, so it is not unbelievable that we could end up together.”
Enid swallowed thickly. With her feelings for her roommate, this was probably a bad idea. She should definitely say no.
