She stumbles from her chair, cracks her back, and hurries to open the door.
A gloved fist pauses mid-knock inches away from her face.
“Blaze?”
She squints at the delivery guy in mild surprise. Nothing noteworthy surfaces through the fog of her brain as she gives the hedgehog a once-over. Jacket and pants emblazoned with the company name, cooler bag slung across a shoulder, a thick scarf, blue quills tied up with a ring, wide eyes that are too unfairly awake for this hour. She doesn’t know this guy, but she does know the plastic bag in his paws contains her very late dinner/super early breakfast.

What if he simply just… didn’t talk for a day?
I mean, sure, he’s antisocial and can barely squeak out a conversation when it isn’t anything work related, but what if he really didn’t say a word for a whole day? Would anyone really notice? Would anyone bother pointing it out if he truly went silent?
