‘While we’re drunk,’ Sasuke repeats himself, his voice going up an octave. ‘No ring, no fancy setting. You’re dressed like a drunkard while I’m sweating from the heat. No sane person would say yes.’
‘So you want a ring, some fancy place and good clothes?’ Naruto contracts his fingers as he counts. ‘Anything else, my dear?’

"I want to try kissing," he said unceremoniously.
Naruto nearly dropped everything he was carrying.
"What?"
Sasuke remained unfazed. "Kissing," he repeated, as if Naruto hadn't heard him the first time. "I want to try it."
Naruto opened his mouth, completely at a loss for words. His heart had started pounding so hard he was sure Sasuke could hear it over the lapping of the water. Sasuke swam up to the edge and hauled himself onto the rocks, his tail still dangling in the pool. Naruto watched the water drip from his hair and trace its way down his chest, and his throat suddenly felt dry.
"You said people do it when they like each other," Sasuke clarified. "Don't we like each other?"
Or, Surfer!Naruto has been teaching Merman!Sasuke all there is to know about the human world. Things take an interesting turn when Sasuke decides he wants to learn about kissing.
