Tim and Jason and Babs were mad at him, and Dick couldn’t even explain himself. Only Damian – oh, and how his heart had soared, learning that his boy was ALIVE! – had welcomed Dick back, and… and in his desperation Dick had proposed spending the holidays together. No presents, of course. No pressure to be overtly nice to each other. Just… what was left of their family together in one place.
Tim had been the one who remembered Bruce’s skiing cabin up in Blue Ridge Mountains, and suddenly they had a plan.
Dick returned from Spyral in the hopes of reconnecting with his family - what he found instead was a Bruce who had forgotten them all and brothers who expressed their grief through anger. This holiday was supposed to let them heal. But can you heal something as broken as them?

Summary
Jason finds the wound on Bruce’s throat with unerring accuracy, and coaxes the clotted blood there to soften with a few licks. When he latches on, he drinks in hasty draws. His hands flex against Bruce’s chest in a mimicry of a kitten’s kneading. Bruce’s vision swims.
A moment later, Dick grasps Jason’s shoulder. “That’s enough, Jay.”
Jason growls—a weak, reedy noise—and digs blunt teeth against Bruce’s throat in his desperation to hold on.
“It’s alright,” Bruce says, laying his hand over Dick’s.
Dick meets his eyes. “He’ll kill you.”
Let him, Bruce thinks. Oh, god, let him.
After his murder, Jason’s family brings him back to life.

He could see the words but what it said made no sense. He pulled the paper out of her hands and looked at the letters. They should have been there. There was a photo, but he couldn’t look at it. It was like the image had been censored from his mind.
Dick didn’t understand what he was reading. Kory reached forward and pulled the paper from his hands.After a strange night in Gotham where fake Batman is found dead, the paper prints the story announcing to the world that the Knight of Gotham is dead, leaving Bruce picking up the pieces as his family hears the news.

Summary
Dick stares, turns his eyes to stare at Tim.
Looks at the mask blocking full view of his eyes and wants to scream. This is so past masks; Dick doesn’t know what to do except stare.
The hand pauses, and this time, Tim stares back.
Starts, catching on so quickly Dick kind of wants to cry again, “’Wing... where’s Jason?” His voice is pulling the words out slowly, like Dick is having trouble understanding. Dick really wants to pretend he is, just so he doesn’t have to answer.
