Summary
Having to escape in the middle of a feast thrown in your honor can never be an easy feat. Not that its especially hard either. Let’s just say that even while being a very powerful magic wielder, it is the act of choosing to leave that poses a hardship. Not in his case, though. In his current situation, it was the easiest and only choice that made sense. After all, the emperor had just revealed a truth so unbelievable that he was frozen in place, not even daring to allow his lips to twitch. All eyes were on him right now, waiting for him to start attacking, most probably. Maybe they were all expecting him to cry, to deny, or to just crumble, anything so that they can start an attack of their own. Whether they use swords or words, axes or laughs might not really make a difference. Not today at least. The truth is, he is as good as dead, his heart stopped the moment...

When they dragged me from my parents house, they cried and pleaded. I was too shocked to do anything but grip my mother’s hand and hold my father’s gaze until they threw me in the cage. I tried to say goodbye with my whole being since I didn’t have words. I looked around at people while i was taken away, I saw satisfaction at my fear, I saw relief in their faces, I saw hatred and for the first time, the immense blue and the soft green seemed as scary as a deep black hole.

Summary
Tony learned from a young age that the best thing about an alpha was that they were easy to manipulate. They always thought they were in control and Tony liked to prove them wrong while getting his own way.
Loki was the first alpha who hadn't fallen for any of his gambits, which made him a little bit fascinating and very annoying, especially considering he was an enemy.
But Tony had never thought much of their battlefield flirting, not until he woke up on the verge of a heat with a heat companion all lined up only to have Loki teleport into his tower absolutely insulted at being overlooked.
