    Three had always felt... Somewhat guilty about her work as an agent in Octo Valley after meeting agent 8 and Marina. Then she felt a little bit worse after Octavio turned out to be not so bad, saving Neo Three in space. Because of that she's always avoided Eight somewhat, even if she never really noticed it herself.

    So when she's invited, along with agent Eight, by off the Hook to go on a camping trip, hiking up to the peak of Mount Nantai, a lot of that guilt is likely to come back and bite her on the ass.

    What Three had not seen coming however, was that while she figured she'd made Eights life harder, Eight had actually been crushing on her.

    In other words. Three and Eight go camping with off the hook, Three overthinks the idea that she ruined the lives of everyone in Octoling society, Eight crushes on Three hard but also overthinks the idea that she's still not forgiven for helping steal the Zapfish twice and kidnapping Callie, Off the Hook help those two deal with their feelings.

    (Small side note, For this story at least, Marina left Octarian society after Splatoon 1s campaign, Eight left after Splatoon 2s.)
