Summary
“Oh fuck, Shane, thank you. My shining knight. My perfect Omega.” He laughs wetly and kisses Shane’s nose, casting a long, adoring glance his way before returning to his place tucked in Shane’s shoulder.
Or
It doesn't matter at all to Shane, but he would be lying if he said it didn’t cross his mind. He’ll remember Ilya, the sweeping line of him, the powerful twitch of his body, and then remember omega, and it’ll break his mind.

Summary
It’s like they’re in a fucked up game of relationship chicken now, increasingly doing things together that Shane can’t describe as anything other than domestic and romantic and boyfriend-like. They text constantly, detailing their days and sharing everything from complaints about teammates to jokes about other players in the league to the kind of quiet worries about family that don’t need to be responded to, just heard by another person.
Or maybe it’s like Schroedinger’s cat. As long as Shane doesn’t ask, doesn’t speak out loud, he can have this. It can exist, and it cannot exist at the same time as long as Shane doesn’t press too hard. Doesn’t want too much.
It feels increasingly like agony now that he’s realized that he loves Ilya.
...
Tunameltdown AU where Ilya makes him tuna melts and says his name and Shane doesn’t freak out and run away. Well, he does freak out, but he also stays. Or the one where Shane doesn’t realize that Ilya’s his boyfriend for a solid three months.

Summary
And it’s not like Shane didn’t believe in soulmates. He knew that soulmates existed. He just doesn’t think he has one.
Which is why Shane was so surprised when he woke early one July morning in a room he did not recognise, face to face with Ilya Rozanov; awake, alert, and terrified.
Or: a soulmate!AU where Shane teleports to Moscow during the summer after their rookie season.

Summary
“Is that what he does, then?” she asks, walking down the hallway to put the garment bag next to the one already there.
She turns back, and sees Shane looking at her with a furrowed brow. She thought that question was clear, but perhaps not. “Like, philanthropy?” Given what hot boyfriend wears, he’s got to be making some serious buck. Or he was born into wealth. “My friend James dated a Russian socialite for a couple of months, and she just went to art galleries and threw dinner parties,” Ana elaborates. “Her dad’s an oligarch who, like, defected from the motherland in the late nineties.”
or: four times shane's stylist meets his boyfriend, and one time she finally figures out who the boyfriend actually is.

Summary
Shane Hollander is drunk.
Rose has never seen him drunk before, and she suspects it's a rare occurrence based on how quickly he's getting sloppy and how little control he seems to have on his emotions. Despite being large and beefy enough to play professional hockey, Shane is kind of a lightweight.
"I'm never gonna get laid again," Shane mumbles, face buried in a pillow on Rose's lap.
Shane's injury is much more minor, so Ilya goes through with the breakup. Luckily, Rose is there to help him through it.
