Summary
Hound's new assignment is a nightmare: babysit the Hokage's latest "ward", who happens to be a ghost from a life he buried 9 years ago. She blackmailed her way into Naruto's life by threatening to undo the fragile political safety of the village, all while describing black-op horrors like a fucking virtuoso of carnage. To protect Naruto and the village he’s sworn to, he must unravel her past and confront the system that created her, all while deciding if the broken woman she is now deserves salvation, or a swift termination.

Summary
It started small. One day when she came into work there were flowers waiting on her desk. Black dahlias, petals a deep maroon, tied together with a red ribbon.
Strange choice for a secret admirer. No note. Nothing to tell her who'd left them. But maybe she was overthinking it. Probably just one of the new beat cops with a little crush on the detective. Everyone knew she had a thing for unsolved cold cases, and Black Dahlia was one of her favorites, they were probably just trying to be sweet.
Then, things started to escalate. Another gift arrived on her desk. A black velvet box with a note attached that read: You look good in red.
She was never solving a case; she was answering a courtship.
