Summary
There, half embedded in the sand not more than thirty yards away, lay a massive black shape. It was roughly the size of a person, maybe a little larger.
At first glance it looked like driftwood washed ashore after a storm, but that illusion lasted all of half a second. Driftwood didn't gleam like polished obsidian. It seemed to drink in the sunlight rather than reflect it, its surface crisscrossed with strange ridges and smooth, organic curves that looked less carved than grown.
"What the fuck am I looking at?"
Whatever it was, it didn't belong on any beach he'd ever seen.

Summary
'There's no point in granting favors in the first place, since there's no way I can fulfill them,' is what Tsunayoshi begins to think, and since he can't do anything to help others, Tsunayoshi begins to also think something like: 'what's the purpose of my existence?'
(The pure flame in his heart begins to gutter and dim.)
--
In which no mafia-hired tutors were sent when Tsunayoshi turned thirteen, the Decimo Vongola sees no reason to involve the CEDEF Head's brat if he can help it, and leaving a Sky at loose ends was probably not the best decision ever made.X-Post from FFNet; 12133121

Summary
Buddhism dictates that once you die, you can be reincarnated, and depending on your Karma, that new world may be better then the last. Following that belief, he must have done something truly horrible in a past life to be placed in his current one.
No one, especially not the true Itadori Yuuji, deserved to play host to the King of Curses. He took comfort in the fact that a random teenager was not stuck with such a responsibility. Despite erasing the kid from existence by accident.
He just never expected the changes that rippled out, when in reality, he probably should have.
