When the Curtis brothers lose their parents, 4 year old Ponyboy, 9 year old Sodapop and 12 year old Darry are left to foster care.
While Sodapop and Darry end up at a boys home and kept on the East Side, Ponyboy is bounced around the system for years until finally ending up at a soc’s house across the West Side.
Unbeknownst to him, Darry and Soda were kept together and live across the East Side with the gang, still trying to find their little brother.
