Rebecca wakes on a desolate shore with no memory of how she got there, a rusted iron chain binding her wrist to an old suitcase labeled with her name. The air is thick with decay, the sky a lifeless gray, and something unseen watches from the mist. She is not alone.
A stranger named Montresor—sharp-tongued and reckless—fights off ghostly orbs whispering for them to stay. Drawn together by circumstance and a growing unease, they flee toward the only sign of civilization: a towering, gothic academy that seems both welcoming and hungry.
Trapped within the walls of Nevermore Academy, Rebecca and Montresor must unravel its secrets before they, too, become whispers in the mist. Because here, the past does not die—it lingers, it beckons, and it never lets go.

Summary
I heard this cover song on tt, and didn't know that it was from an unreleased song from ILLIUM (which is under the works as far as I am aware). Pride of Troy made me think of Theo, and what could have been his relationship with his parents. Hence, this short story.
