Their version of "trust" demands he forgets a dog is a dog. Their version of "trust" demands he not remember a dog bites. He does not trust their definition of "trust".
Bucky Barnes needs a guarantee. A kill switch.
He can't ask Wakanda for it. Why would they answer his call? They "fixed" him, after all. Who is he to say he isn't fixed? It takes digging into the darkest corners to find it. A twenty-something doctor called "Chop Shop", who spends as much time in the operating room as he does in death match fight rings. Cold. Impartial. Unattached. And, just like Bucky, he's a man of metal before bone.
Chop Shop has to be his salvation, or Bucky will have to drag them both to hell.
