“Ah, no…” Eddie pulls his lower lip between his teeth, a smile still battling its way through. “That had nothing to do with me; I’ve never been great at those school projects.” Carmen frowns, about to ask who helped Christopher then, when Eddie continues with a fond lilt in his voice that simultaneously has Carmen’s heart doubling in size and dropping to her feet. “It was my husband.”
It takes a moment for Carmen to find her voice after that mind-blowing revelation.
Seriously, how had Ana missed that this man was married?!

Summary
She’s been sat at home all day, alternating between flicking through the regular trashy daytime television, and baking an absurd amount of cakes. She’s already boxed an entire ginger cake for her mother. But, for now, it’s a Friday afternoon and she’s finally hit her breaking point of boredom.
Which led her here. Standing outside of Eddie’s house.
Only, Eddie isn’t the one who’s opened the door. It’s not Eddie standing there, mild surprise on his face as a towel hangs dangerously loose over his hips, water dripping down onto his bare chest.
Or, the one in which Ana's boyfriend is almost definitely in love with his best friend only....he doesn't know.

“I’d never do anything to jeopardize our safety on a job! You know that Hen.”
“Maybe not on purpose,” Chim chimes in, “but, see, the thing is, when you flirt with our Buck, his brain turns off. He just bluescreens.”
“You’re flustering the poor boy, Eddie,” Hen adds. “And it’s making him dumb.”
“-er,” Chim adds.
“Wha- Buck isn’t flustered.”
Eddie is flustered. His face feels hot. He takes another sip of his coffee to give his hands something do to, but that only makes him feel warmer. Shit.
Hen levels him with the most deadpan look. “Last week he walked into a stop sign after you called him ‘big boy’ on a call.”
Eddie nearly spits out his coffee.
Or: the one where Eddie subconsciously flirts with Buck without realizing and Buck is actively trying not to have a heart attack at work about it

Summary
“I’ll be right back,” Eddie says, as his eyes snap to something over Buck’s shoulder. “Stay here with Chris.”
Eddie presses a firm kiss to Buck's lips before ducking off into the crowd, and Buck watches him go with a dazed look on his face.
“You guys are kissing now?” Chris asks curiously. “I didn’t think he’d told you yet.”
That drags Buck back to reality.
“Huh?” he says. “Told me what?”
Chris raises an eyebrow. “Dad’s told you how he feels, right?”
“It’s just been the kissing actually,” Buck admits, still a little out of it. “I don’t think he’s fully aware he’s doing it?”

(Buck's not sure what's going on when Eddie starts accidentally kissing him. Eddie's not as oblivious as Buck thinks he is.)
