Summary
Most people didn't manifest the mark of their soulmate right away. Oh, sure, it happened – it had happened with Lucifer, before anyone had known what a soulmate even was, before anyone had realised such a thing was possible for angels – but it was pretty uncommon.
And it was absolutely possible for it to break – or fade. It was pretty unlikely on Earth, hardly ever happened during the span of a regular human life – but when the souls in question were immortal? Yeah, sometimes things changed. Relationships grew distant, love degraded. Once you'd experienced the bond fading – or worse, breaking? – no, most people were a little wary about throwing themselves into a new relationship.
*
Lucifer has experienced having a soulmate. Alastor has never been interested in the concept. Something is dreadfully wrong, because Lucifer is seeing shadows move out of the corner of his eye - and Alastor's claws are glowing golden.
Shit.

Summary
Lucifer Morningstar never thought much about what he and Alastor were. It simply… existed.
Stolen moments in empty hallways. Quiet conversations that lingered longer than they should have. A kind of closeness that never asked to be defined.
Until one question changes everything and Lucifer realizes he might have been the only one trying to understand it…

Summary
Two residents of hell drowning in their pasts, tainted by the future and horrified by each other's presence.
One would think this is not the brewing grounds for a spectacular, confusing, rather explosive attatchment to occur.
Then again, their relationships with fate happen to be quite ironic.
That is to say...shit happens.

Summary
"Please, Alastor. I'll do literally almost anything. I'm desperate and you're the only one I can turn to. I mean it. Almost nothing is off the table so name your price!"
Alastor arched an eyebrow, "What do you want?"
"I need you to sort of maybe kind of fake being in love with me."

(In other words: Lucifer wants to make Lilith jealous so Alastor agrees to fake date him)

Summary
“You look like shit.”
A red gaze sweeps Lucifer from head to hoof and back again, followed by a well-sculpted eyebrow rising pointedly.
“Yes, yes,” Lucifer says from very much not the high ground. “Pot. Kettle. I’m aware. Why do you look like shit?”
Red places his free hand on his chest, fingers spread in gentlemanly offense. “I’m merely winded from all the effort I put into saving the Pentagram from your folly.”
Uh huh. No doubt Red’s a real hero. But first, a point of clarification. “My folly?”
“When you walked straight into the most obvious ambush of all time and were used as the unwitting power source for a doomsday device that nearly killed us all.” Black-tipped ears perk forward. “Ring any bells?”
Oh, fuck him. Also, no, not really. “Well, excuse me for underestimating what you sinners are capable of. None of you have ever managed to hurt me before in all the millennia you’ve tried. I’m not used to ambushes meaning anything.”
“Hence, folly.” Red tilts his head to the side at an inhuman angle, canned laughter swelling in the background. “You’re so good at it!”
