    Summary

When twenty-eight-year-old novelist Bella Swan moves home to Forks, she expects to find the town just as quiet as it always was. But when Charlie begins working long hours on a dangerous new case and strange events begin to occur, Bella starts to suspect something more sinister is lurking just below the town's surface.

As Bella is pulled further into the mystery, she meets the enigmatic Carlisle Cullen, who seems to know more about the recent events than he is letting on. Now, she must decide if she can trust Carlisle, or if he is part of the very evil that threatens to tear the town - and her family - apart.

    Summary

“You are very young, solnyshka,” he murmurs. “It is a man imprudent who plucks a flower not yet in bloom.”

“Likewise, a man who leaves it on the vine to dry,” she replies pertly.

    Summary

Remus looks at Harry's wide eyes again.
Maybe, he thinks, and he knows it’s absurd and impossible, but he still thinks that maybe they sent him to Harry, and they sent Harry to him after all those years he spent alone. Perhaps to commemorate what they have lost together and cry and mourn and suffer.
Perhaps, they thought it is high time that Remus smiles again, sincerely, like the days in Hogwarts. Like he is a human again, not just a hollow bag of bones. Perhaps they think he should stop just existing, and live again. Perhaps.

Voldemort is defeated, the war is over, but Remus can't pull himself together until suddenly there is a little boy in his arms, crying and waiting for him to wipe his tears away.

He took a seat next to her, and her head flopped inelegantly into the crook of his shoulder, empty glass now discarded on the floor. He wrapped his arm around her. She was warm and soft and smelled of lavender and soap. He breathed her in as if she was an expensive wine and he wanted to savor every last delicious drop.

“I think I understand you a little bit now,” she said softly. “The Shu killed everyone. They killed my kids and they killed Mal and they took the Grisha.” She hiccupped again. “Can you open a Fold in Amhrat Jen for me? Please?”

    Summary

“You’ll make a good wife, too, I imagine," he says, and she can see it in his face that he understands he is being bold. Gentle mouth stretched on a grin so large, he reminds her of a book made of dreams and fantasies. “Your father speaks highly of you. Almost like a son. You know, I often wonder how men could be so reckless with their most valued possessions. If you were my daughter, for example, I’d have found a better husband for you.”
