Summary
Feelings that were more than friends always dusted the air with Kara Danvers and Lena Luthor. Neither of them have vocalized it to the other or taken action. Both of them are scared of change. The timeline is a little skewed, Brainy and Mon-El crashlanded on earth together but didn't have to leave. Reign doesn't exist and Sam is just Sam and has Ruby but she's only three. Alex and Kelly are dating but never got Esmee. Lena didn't inflict pain and revenge on Kara like in season 5, she actually one of the first she told in this fanfic. Lex is in prison and we don't really focus on him at all. This is mainly a focus and slow burn for Kara and Lena. It's a happy ending, I promise! I like to build up suspense like I learned from some of my favorite writers on AO3. I hope you like it!

She sings a stripped version of it and Lexa realizes she’s listened to it before - it’s an old interview, apparently - and hums along without really meaning to.
