Summary
Hal was never the Guardians’ first choice to be a Green Lantern. Hell, he wasn’t the second, third, or fourth, either. He didn’t even make the fucking list. He’s been best described as a loose cannon with a bad temper and a penchant for getting himself into more trouble that strictly necessary, and he breaks more rules than he follows. God’s only blessing to John in his entire life was that the room had two queen beds and not one king, or else he would have spent the entire night lying next to Hal and trying not to breathe too loud while he worked out whether he wanted to fuck Hal up or — well, fuck Hal.
